Carpet Spotting Tip – Candle Wax Removal
It is important when spotting to always test a spot in an inconspicuous area to assure that no color transfer occurs (other than the stain itself). If no color transfer or water stain can be seen you may proceed with the following spotting techniques:
- Place a piece of wax free brown paper bag over the wax spot.
- Set an electric iron with no steam on low and gently touch the iron to the paper. This will melt the wax so that the wax transfers up into the paper.
- Repeat the process. Be careful not to burn the fabric. It’s as simple as that!
